This exciting project was a refurbishment of existing offices, based on looking at Energy Savings, as well as creating a great working environment suitable for their employees.
Cundalls Lighting Designer, Andrew Bissell, talks of their decision to choose Kemps:
“The project was quite unique in that we wanted to use standard products but in a bespoke form, coupled with that the time scales were very short. To meet these requirements we approached manufacturers who we knew would be able to provide the products and service we required.”
With it being a working office environment this project was an interesting one, as Cundalls had to take into account additional factors such as light levels, glare and of course; energy saving.
Andrew explains: “We simply designed the lighting to suit the needs of the people and the architecture of the space. I guess we sub-consciously kept an eye on light levels, glare, uniformity and energy, but predominately it was all about the needs of the people moving in and working with the architecture of the space.”
Kemps Managing Director talks about being involved in the project:
“This was a really exciting project to be involved with and demonstrates once again the flexibility, knowledge, service and experience we have to offer clients here at Kemps.”
“The project looks amazing and we are delighted for Cundalls to have this project nominated in the 2015 LUX Awards for the Office and Workplace category.”
Update: Sainsbury’s Digital Hub won the Lux Awards 2015 Office and Workplace Lighting Project of the Year category at the awards ceremonies in London on the 19 November 2015.
