Heathrow T2 wins prestigious LUX Award
Last month we wrote about attending the much anticipated and highly prestigious LUX Awards at The Troxy in London. The awards were a great success and not only was the Heathrow T2 project shortlisted for the Industrial and Transport of the Year award; it won!
The ceremony took place at the end of the LUX Live Exhibition, a two-day event celebrating the latest innovations in the world of lighting.
The winning project was designed by our client and good friends at StudioFRACTAL and has impressed, I’m sure, all of the passengers who have travelled through the terminal.
It was a great example of just what can be achieved when integrating light into an architectural design and it does it beautifully.
Naturally, we are just as excited as the designers that the project has won this award. It’s a great feat for everyone involved and it’s recognition and affirmation that what we created was really something quite special.
These awards are extremely highly coveted and the team at StudioFRACTAL should be very proud at what they’ve achieved with the venture. Our Managing Director, Mark Kemp is delighted for them:
“Seeing StudioFRACTAL win this award is truly testament to their ingenuity and creativity. They have crafted something beautiful that successfully demonstrates how the use of light can be integrated into architecture on a variety of levels.”
It’s also a great moment for Kemps as suppliers to a project that has turned so many heads and been so highly acclaimed by colleagues and critics alike.
Mark goes on to say: “We are proud to have played our part in the realisation of this prestigious scheme with such pioneering designers and are delighted they received the recognition they thoroughly deserve."
Congratulations to the guys at StudioFRACTAL; here’s to the next one, cheers!
