The Night of Heritage Light – with the SLL and CIBSE

Friday, October 2, 2015

Last night, Kemps joined members of the Society of Light and Lighting for the Night of Heritage Light event at Blenheim Palace – which was one of several World Heritage Sites within the UK and Ireland to be illuminated in acknowledgement of the UNSECO International Year of Light 2015.

Here’s what our Managing Director, Mark Kemp, had to say about Kemp’s involvement:

“Kemps are delighted to have been involved in creating the Night of Heritage Light and seeing one of these World Heritage sites in a way that nobody has before. This project shows the potential of light to present the world around us in a completely new way, but it also demonstrates the versatility of light and the technology behind it.

“Lighting is an art as well as a science, and it’s been really exciting and a lot of fun for us to take part in this event alongside the SLL and CIBSE. We hope it will inspire the next generation of lighters, and remind others of the huge role lighting plays in their daily lives.”
