Sophie’s Steakhouse is a London restaurant brand that recently opened a new location in the heart of Soho.
Kemps was specified by Light Bureau to supply a range of products for the scheme, including both standard and bespoke elements. To get the atmosphere inside their venue exactly right, they hired Light Bureau to create an interior lighting scheme.

The bar, shelves and ceiling coves
To light the bar, shelves and ceiling coves, Light Bureau chose our 24V Flexus and Proteus LED products using 2400K & 2700K. The warm glow created provides the perfect backdrop to the stylish bar area.
They also incorporated 7 of our Sabre acrylic tube products using 24V UV LED. These were placed along the walls of the brick basement, giving off a luminous blue glow that acts as an intriguing counterbalance to the upstairs scheme.
All the above products were specified with 0-10V dimming, meaning the finished lighting scheme is completely adaptable to the desired brightness and time of day.
The main lighting in the restaurant floor
For the main lighting above the restaurant floor, the request was a little more challenging. To achieve Light Bureau’s vision precisely, we were required to design and manufacture 16 bespoke LED pendants.
The pendants were created using spun Aluminium discs, lit by 2700K LED cobs, each producing over 2000 lumens. These unique lights create an eye-catching display that chimes with the overall elegance of the space.
Kemps helped us realise our vision by providing bespoke luminaire solutions that reflected our design intent. The manufacture quality and the product value met our expectations and the final result works aesthetically and functionally. The Kemps team were supportive throughout the design development and project completion and I would definitely use their service again for bespoke luminaires products in the future.
