Business Development (South)

Salary: Negotiable for the right candidateCommission for uncapped earnings, remote working, car allowance & mileage, company pension, 23 days holiday allocation & working with a great team and products!

Your primary responsibility will be to provide existing & new clients with full support that fosters confidence in specifying our products, whether from our standard LED range or through custom, bespoke solutions. Your goal is to ensure continued specification of our lighting products and to enhance the brand of Kemps Architectural Lighting.

You will build and maintain strong relationships within our team, enabling the efficient delivery of quotations and solutions to clients. Your efforts will contribute to achieving company targets, increasing sales, and boosting profitability

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to our existing clients, including Lighting Designers, Cost Consultants and Electrical Contractors.
  • Gather all necessary details for accurate quotations, ensuring all information is stored in CRM/Teams project folders.
  • Perform calculations and take-offs to generate quotations (with internal support team) using the ERP system according to established processes.
  • Handle bespoke enquiries with team support, following the appropriate procedures.
  • Maintain and update CRM (Dynamics 365) to track projects, set follow-ups, and manage customer interactions.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations on products and services to Lighting Designers as needed.
  • Actively pursue new sales opportunities, with support from Internal Sales as required
  • Close sales effectively.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years within the lighting industry
  • Solid understanding of the specification sector
  • Indepth knowledge of LED and drivers including dimming protocols and Emergency
  • Proficient in Office 365, Dynamics 365 and ERP systems
  • Knowledge, experience with Relux an advantage
  • Ability to manage and drive enquiries with support when needed from Internal Sales, Design Engineers and Project Managers
